Q & A with Michelle Doetch
What is the last book you read?
H is for Hawk....
This is a heart-wrenching and humorous novel about bereavement. When Helen's father dies suddenly she is devastated. In order to deal with her grief she returns to her experience as a falconer and, decides to train one of the most vicious predators,
the goshawk. Anyone interested in nature writing will be thrilled with this read.
If you could have tea or coffee with anyone who would it be with?
Having tea with Katherine S. White would be fascinating. Katherine wrote Onward and Upward in the Garden in 1958. It was the 1st of a critical review of garden catalogues that appeared in the New Yorker. Katherine had an ongoing conversation with seed man regarding new species and the tried and true plants of the day. Can you imagine the amazing floral display that would be at your tea table.
What is your favorite dessert?
I love popovers.. They are crispy and golden on the outside and can be filled with a savory or sweet goodness.
